Granada

Set at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, the city was the capital of the Nasrid Emirate — the last Muslim state on the Iberian Peninsula until 1492. The Alhambra and Generalife, together with the Albaicín quarter, are UNESCO World Heritage sites; from the palace courtyards to the whitewashed slopes, Andalusi and Castilian heritage read as one.
